Background: Who is Dram?

Dram is one of the trendsetters of the CBD-infused drink industry, with an impressive reach (sold in 24 states) and a chic, stylish aesthetic that will be familiar to anyone who knows the CBD space. In fact, Dram is big-time enough that they just partnered with beer giant Coors for distribution.

As one of the most widely-distributed and best-known brands in the nation, we thought the time was right to put Dram to the test.

In this review we pore over their ingredients, do a thorough taste-testing, and breakdown just how effective it really is at providing relief.

Dram CBD Drink Review

Taste Score: 7.5/10

Does the drink taste bueno or no bueno?

Dram sparkling waters come in three unique flavors: Sweetgrass, Gingergrass, and Lemongrass. To be honest, going into these drinks we didn’t know what any of these flavors really meant, we just hoped it didn’t taste like grass. Well, good news: they’re actually quite tasty.

They have a slightly earthy underlying taste, with a touch of something brighter on the tongue (ginger, lemon, and North American sweetgrass) and a slight kick at the back of the mouth from the carbonation. The taste isn’t super strong, and it isn’t amazing or addictive, but it’s a solid-tasting sparkling water.

Value Score: 9.5/10

How much CBD bang are you getting for your buck?

One of the biggest selling points of Dram is that they provide among the best value of any CBD drink: a 12-pack costs $49, which comes out to about $4.80 per can, and each can contains 25mg of CBD.

Now, nearly $5 a can might not sound like the most amazing deal ever, but keep in mind that many drinks in the CBD space charge nearly $10, and often have less CBD than Dram. In fact, it’s very uncommon to come across a CBD drink that costs less than $5 and has a respectable amount of CBD, so full points on value for Dram.

Health score: 9/10

How committed is this brand to health and wellness? We look at all the ingredients.

Dram uses all-organic ingredients and is a zero sugar, zero calorie beverage. Add to that not just CBD but other natural ingredients like ginger, Ashwaghanda root, oatstraw, and others, and you’ve got a very health-promoting drink with little/no negative aspects. Enjoy this one with a clear conscience!

Relief Score: 8/10

Many of us consume CBD to relieve ailments. Does this product provide effective relief?

Now, this section is inherently very subjective, but the Remedy Journey team tries to gauge just how effective these drinks actually are at providing relief (most of us consume CBD for anxiety). The result? Our general consensus was that the drink provided effective, but not overpowering relief.

The adaptogenic herbs may have helped make the drinking experience a little more rounded: while a 25mg dose of CBD can sometimes weigh you down, this drink felt very bright and uplifting.

X-Factor: 9/10

What makes this drink special? Does it promote productivity or focus? Does it get one “lit”?

This is another area where this drink shines: they not only have a pretty unique flavor profile, but they also include a number of adaptogenic herbs, which may help promote calmness and fight stress. With plenty of cool ingredients to like, this drink gets a solid X-Factor score.

Final Verdict: 9.1/10

Let’s put it all together: what’s our overall take on this drink?

This drink is another favorite: it provides a great value, checks all the right boxes in terms of health and ingredients, and tastes pretty good too. We definitely recommend buying if you see it on store shelves (or online if you’re impatient: see below).
